JOEBOTS TO THE RESCUE:

NEW WOE FOR SENATOR JOE
(MAGGIE HABERMAN, August 2, 2006, NY Post)

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will hit the trail today in support of the man challenging in the Connecticut Democratic primary.

Other than switching parties, it's hard to think of anything that would help the Senator more than to have the Mau-Mau crew come and tell lilly-white CT primary voters that Ned Lamont is one of theirs.

But they ought to help Lamont's chances in New Haven.

You know, I normally don't find accusations of anti-Semitism among American political figures very convincing, if only because a) I don't actually think many of them are anti-Semitic, and b) I think most of them have so very many crass motivations that anti-Semitism figures in the smallest of ways, if at all. But here, I must say I wonder. Mr Hymietown and Mr Jew Interloper (what Sharpton called the owner of a shoe store in Harlem, right before his followers burned it down) have come running, to help destroy the political career of the most prominent Jewish politician in America. I mean, really. How much more transparent can you get?

Yes, and 5 members of the Congressional Black Caucus who were to have campaigned for Lieberman this week have backed out.

It's really quite pathetic, and it just proves that the CBC is a bunch of weenies.
