That is not much different from Justice Kennedy's consulting "international laws" and norms. Both of them are based on faith and beliefs.

How would Harry Blackmun address the 'evidence' provided by 4-D in utero sonograms?

Perhaps he would get all mystical himself, and conclude that science is dispensable in the face of feeling.
