DOWNTIME

For those who were "jonesing" for your fix of Brothers Judd yesterday, the fiber running to the HostMySite datacenter where we're hosted was cut in a construction accident yesterday. As a result, the site was down for about ten hours.

Nice to have you guys back up and running.

In the RF world, we call that a "backhoe fade".

I was worried somebody had attacked the site. BTW, who exactly was driving that backhoe? In any case, welcome back.

Ah, yes, the "dog ate my homework" excuse for a site being down. Of course, if the backhoe operator had been a Mexican illegal, none of this would have happened...

(A few years ago, a friend of mine got the honor of cutting the one of the main optic fiber trunk lines outside Las Vegas, throwing the entire internet into turmoil for a day or so because Union Pacific didn't mark the location properly before his crew started work on that grade crossing.)

Glad you're back up. I was beginning to develop a nervous tic...

Whew! I thought I was going to have to get a "real life."

I had been afraid that c.j. terrorists got us.

For half a second, I thought an Embraer 190 might have struck server central, but there wasn't anything on the news.....
