DEMOGRAPHIC DECLINES DON'T HAVE SOFT LANDINGS:

10m want to quit 'over-taxed' UK (David Cracknell, 8/27/06, Times of London)

ONE in five Britons — nearly 10m adults — is considering leaving the country amid growing disillusionment over the failure of political parties to deliver tax cuts, according to a new poll.

The extensive survey conducted by ICM, the polling company, shows that — contrary to the current approach of both Labour and the Tories — an overwhelming majority of voters do want to see cuts in income and inheritance tax.


And as they shrink the tax base the taxes have to be hiked even higher, driving more young people out, which means.....

... eventually things will be so depressed, ambitious young people, seeing the opportunities, will return perhaps putting the kibosh on socialism for all time. One can hope ....

they shrink the tax base the taxes have to be hiked even higher, or the govt. and its purported services should shrink.
