BEST LINE OF 2006:

A Jewish friend and Met fan just had a daughter and I asked him if he'd named her Mookie:

A: "I named her Kazmir Shoah Cohen, as both tragedies should always be remembered."

I suggested "Cleon" for my son, but my wife wisely vetoed it.

Back when she thought I might practice law The Wife promised we could name a daughter Kirby Puckett to make up for Costas's welching.

when asking my son, an avid (Jewish) Red Sox fan and incredible source of baseball knowledge, visiting me here in Maui, could only reply "I'm in the bathroom" - I'm hoping if I wait a while, either someone here will adequately explain it - or he'll get out of the bathroom, in a better mood, and explain it...
