HE IS BOOKED TO SEE REEFER MADNESS THAT DAY
President Doubts He'll See Gore Film (James Gerstenzang, Los Angeles Times, May 23rd, 2006)
President Bush had a two-word response when he was asked Monday whether he would see Al Gore's documentary on global warming."Doubt it."

So.... The President isn't going to waste 2 hours or so watching the mindless drivel of a bunch of discredited humanity-haters? In other news, the sky is blue and water is wet.

Since MST3K's Mike Nelson is an occassional guest on the Saturday radio show the Northern Alliance crew puts on in the Twin Cities, there might be a chance for that, though I doubt Paramount would let the crew get ahold of Gore's masterpiece any time soon.

The Coolidge allusion was likely intentional; somewhere I read that Silent Cal is an important influence on George W. Said article also mentioned that the White House art collection contains busts of every past President, which the current Chief Executive can use to decorate the Oval Office. Most Presidents use just a few of these (Clinton's only statue was JFK), but W has three in the Office: Lincoln, Reagan, and ... Coolidge.

(or perhaps Eleanor's)?
