TURNS OUT ALIAS AND LOST HAVE JUST BEEN HOLODECK GAMES:

Director J.J. Abrams signs on for 11th 'Star Trek' film (Seattle Post-Intelligencer, April 22, 2006)

"Mission: Impossible III" director J.J. Abrams is going from Cruise control to warp speed. A couple of weeks before the arrival of Tom Cruise and "M:I3," Abrams has committed to producing the 11th "Star Trek" feature film, and there are plans for him to direct as well, Paramount Pictures announced Friday.

I don't watch "Alias," but holodeck games on the original "Star Trek" is one of the possibilities I've thought of for "Lost" which better have some answers by the end of this season, or they'll have lost us. My current favorite theory is that Hurley is the only real person on the show and everyone and everything else is part of his coma-induced hallucinations.

erp: I agree. They've given a perfectly coherent explanation for the Island, and now we can just watch Hurley's hallucinations.

David, I confess to not knowing when you're kidding.
