NOW YOU'RE TALKIN'!:
Prostitution Alleged In Cunningham Case (Jo Becker and Charles R. Babcock, April 29, 2006, Washington Post)
Federal authorities are investigating allegations that a California defense contractor arranged for a Washington area limousine company to provide prostitutes to convicted former congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R-Calif.) and possibly other lawmakers, sources familiar with the probe said yesterday. [...]
The Cunningham investigation's latest twist came after Mitchell J. Wade, a defense contractor who has admitted bribing the former congressman, told prosecutors that Wilkes had an arrangement with Shirlington Limousine, which in turn had an arrangement with at least one escort service, one source said. Wade said limos would pick up Cunningham and a prostitute and bring them to suites Wilkes maintained at the Watergate Hotel and the Westin Grand in Washington, the source said.
This scandal has always been in desperate need of a sex angle, though hookers and the Watergate seems almost cliche.

Sex is the only thing that seems to offend Republicans, so maybe this will sink in.
His accepting $2.4 million in bribes doesn't seem to bother them, but whoremongering is another matter!
You can't make anyone care about such an obscure kerfuffle, but at least if you lot are going to obsess over it you deserve a good sex angle.
Mr. Mad, thanks for your thoughts. Could you please list the last ten democrats who had to resign over the apperance of wrong-doing? I can't think of any....
Wasn't it Secy. Interior Albert B Fall who was convicted of receiving a bribe from a man who was found not guilty of paying him?
Since Dems never resign over actual wrongdoing, why are they so sensitive to the slightest GOP appearances of wrongdoing? Clean up your own house for once and maybe then we'll care about your sensitivities.
When William Jefferson and Alan Mollohan are behind bars, then perhaps Mr. Boiling Mad will calm down. Unless he wants to continue to stay in denial.
And while George Ryan was just convicted, is Mr. Mad going to stew until Jon Corzine is removed from office? I doubt it.
It is so sad, Cunningham was actually the Top Gun who was awarded the Medal of Honor. It seems it is better for war heroes just to fade away.
ic, Cunningham did not receive the CMOH. He was an "Ace" for shooting down 5 Migs. He and his backseater Bob Driscoll bailed on his 5th kill and were rescued at sea. The Duke tied Steve Ritchie of the AF.
I'm not sure Cunningham ever attented Top Gun. Seems like that came after he left the Navy/
Those were the days my friend.
