IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE

Car Parks Itself (CBS, 4/3/06)

Help is at hand in the form of a car that parks itself, as CBS News correspondent Mark Phillips discovered.

He showed viewers a steering wheel turning on its own as he kept his hands off and a car pulled into a tight spot, on its own....

The car's computer senses when it's time to turn the wheel the other way "and tuck that little baby in," Phillips explains....

It happens in a new Toyota eco-friendly hybrid car now available in Britain with a $700 "parking assist" option.

There would be significant overlap between people who would buy a Prius and people who can't actually drive.

Train riders as well, though I'm not saying this is good or bad.

I believe you meant to say "drive a Pious".

We can thank Toyota for creating one of life's new little annoyances. Have you ever been behind one while the driver does 30 mph in a 40 mph zone in order to see how long the car will run on the batteries?

As I suspected, the inventor was inspired to create this after living in Seattle.
