Just having watched "Glengarry Glen Ross" again, gotta ask: is the second place prize a set of steak knives?
Posted by: Rick T. at March 9, 2006 10:34 AMI'm passing on this one. Since I pick Arizona to win every year, I never do well.
Posted by: Brandon at March 9, 2006 10:49 AMGo 'Heels.
Posted by: Jim in Chicago at March 9, 2006 11:08 AMIf they throw any more unthinking inbound passes like the one with seven seconds left against Cincinnati on Tuesday, no amount of Gerry McNamara's acrobatics is going to keep the Orange from going anywhere but the NIT after playing Connecticut today.
Posted by: John at March 9, 2006 11:09 AMAlas, I daren't even join in. Over the past several such pools, I didn't even master the system of picking, nevermind picking winning teams.
My husband informs me, we pick UConn. Go Huskies!
Why does your password make me think of moose?

Don't forget the college bowl pool, I won all four categories!
This post interrupted by a message from my screaming subconscious:
BEAT DUKE, BEAT DUKE, BEAT DUKE
That is all.
Posted by: Matt Murphy at March 9, 2006 3:43 PMI had the Orange going to the Final Four last year in their bracket, so the entire state of Vermont is on my **** list. Luckily, UW-Milwaukee bailed me out in another bracket, so I still did OK.
Posted by: apc at March 9, 2006 3:43 PMSyracuse 86, Uconn 84
Go Orange and Blue (illinois, that is)
Posted by: jdkelly at March 9, 2006 4:22 PMI wanna see how good Morrison really is.
Posted by: Pepys at March 9, 2006 10:11 PMOK, I signed up, but it won't let me pick anything.
P.S. Logins can't be just three characters? That's more annoying than me.
Posted by: Annoying Old Guy at March 10, 2006 2:45 PMAOG - that must have been my problem too.
Posted by: erp at March 10, 2006 7:31 PMAnd look who just beat the dastardly Oklahoma Sooners for the second time this year...
Posted by: Matt Murphy at March 11, 2006 1:44 AMDoes this mean less Hold "em Poker on ESPN for the rest of the month?
Is there some way to see everyone else's picks?
Yes, I do plan on taking that into consideration before I make my final picks.
Posted by: Pepys at March 12, 2006 9:11 PMYou can't see picks until games start, but it does list the national percenbtages of who's picked what team.
Posted by: oj at March 12, 2006 9:16 PMWhen I try to join the group, I get this error message:
"Sorry, you must register with the same website as the group manager to join this group.."
Any ideas?
Posted by: b at March 13, 2006 2:53 PMB, use the link in the posting here at brothersjudd. I had the same problem as I went to the Strib version of upickem we used for the football season. You have to create another account because OJ used a different front end for upickem.
I'm in for both, but with 2 PAC10 teams in the final 4 it's only to display my version of wishful thinking.
Posted by: JAB at March 16, 2006 9:43 AM23/32 = 71%

The Washington bracket killed me.
Posted by: Pepys at March 18, 2006 12:55 AMPepys - Forgetting to pick for one round killed me.
Posted by: pj at April 1, 2006 11:50 AMSpeaking of embarrassment --
Hope you saw the Jill Carroll story.

You and some other knee-jerk right-wingers have some crow to eat.
Let's see if you can do the right - as in correct - thing.

Excellent, so the statements you were defending after she was released are all false?
Posted by: oj at April 1, 2006 10:41 PMIf you win how do you claim a book?
Posted by: BillMill at April 3, 2006 7:36 AMSend me your address and what you like to read and we'll figure out a book or two for you. Even if you're just top 5 or so.
