Isn't it always that way when a left or center/left government is elected anywhere?
Posted by: Rick T. at April 12, 2006 9:24 AMIn a way, after a long (incredibly long by Italian standards) period of conservative government, it may not be the worst thing in the world to give the public a peek at liberals in power for a year or so and hear everything they want to promote, given that they don't have enough clout to get much of their agenda passed.
Reminding the public what they're all about by seeing exactly what the left wants to do while nominally in charge of the government may be enough to switch things back around come 2007.
