About time to dig up the comments of the French, Germans and others on the relative sophistication of their socities versus the U.S. after the 1992 Los Angeles riots, and in comparison to this past weekend's marches in Los Angeles and elsewhere (some people may have been riled up by photos of Mexican flags being held up by illegal immigrant advocates, but if this had been France, a few thousand cars would have burned during the course of the protest).
