Ah, so the corporate motto is "Show no evil." It must have been a problem with the translation.

Actually, companies like Google, Amazon, Yahoo, Ebay and such show the dangers of concentrating too much power in one entity. And weren't we told that the Internet would prevent such accumulations?

It does. Google supplanted Alta Vista and it could be replaced in a matter of months.

In some sense the Internet is profoundly conservative. It repeats the same patterns of life, only faster. So you still have dominant companies, but their ability to stay at the top is enormously weaker, dominance can change with startlying rapidity. But the overall shape is as it always was.
