SOMETIMES THE 12% ARE RIGHT:

Which of the following two statements come closest to your own opinion?

A) Biology teachers should teach only Darwin’s theory of evolution and the scientific evidence that supports it.

B) Biology teachers should teach Darwin’s theory of evolution, but also the scientific evidence against it.

C) Neither/Not Sure

In 2006 in Ohio:

A = 19%
B = 68.8%
C = 12%

In 2002 in Ohio:

A = 19%
B = 65%
C = 16

The controversy is philosophical, not scientific.

"Biology teachers should teach Darwins theory of evolution, but also the scientific evidence against it."

I think that rules out ID.

Ali-

I think you misunderstand what 'ID' means. It describes the elements which could be evidence of deliberate design rather than theorizing about the qualities of the designer.

It rules out Darwinism.

Only up to 12% now don't want the theory of evolution taught in biology class? 87.8% agree with having the theory of evolution taught in biology class? In Ohio?

Interesting. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Orrin.

Tom:

Scientific evidence means theory backed up by some form of experimental work. You can discuss the myriad gaps and inconsistencies regarding evolution all day long, but that doen't mean ID-boosters can call their criticisms "scientific evidence".

Ali:

They're entitled to if Darwinists are going to. In reality, as Ernst Mayr said, Darwinism isn't science, just philosophy.
