France's economic growth slowed in the final three months of 2005, pulling the country's full-year performance down below the government's forecasts.Posted by Orrin Judd at February 10, 2006 8:17 AMGross domestic product (GDP) rose by 0.2% in the fourth quarter, down from 0.7% in the previous three months, according to statistical office Insee.
For the year, GDP grew by 1.4%, compared with 2.1% in 2004.

For the government toads, the French economy is probably doing just fine. But for the rest....
