Wow, made it four days, Senate Panel to Vote on Alito Jan. 24 (DAVID ESPO, 1/16/06, AP)
From the first article, "'If courts become a less conducive branch for advocacy, we will turn to the other two branches of government,' she adds."
Those would be the, um, political branches?

Posted by: ghostcat at January 16, 2006 10:27 PMDems are under a lotta pressure to fb. I think they're hoping that SOTU will hilite different issues and help distract their moonbats the way a a sparkly toy distracts a screaming toddler.
SOTU is going to focus on reauthorization of the Patriot Act, which will make those shrieking about Alito right now go cantering off into a new direction of crazed panic and desperate attempts to link national security with Jack Abramoff and back alley abortions. Basically they'll hit all the talking points the far left donors want, which means their message of what they actually want to do in terms of their own agenda will remain both incoherent and unnerving to at least two thirds of the American public
