I beg to differ.
A weeping Mrs. Alito will surely be remembered...by the right and by the compassionate.
But the meme that emerges (and is already halfway around the world before Judge Alito even places his hand on the Bible) is that Judge Alito is a racist.
You don't believe me?
It was the nice little present that Schumer and others packed up and sent every one off with. For the next 30 years, no matter what the decisions rendered by Alito, the raised eyebrow will accompany the "Well, ya know... he's a racist..." qualifier. Just like they managed to taint Justice Thomas.
Unless the moonbats convince folks that Mrs. Alito was faking it.
