JUST GIVEN THE NAME YOU KNEW THEY'D BE CONSERVATIVE (via Mike Daley):

Here's an example of how the conservative bias of the comics page balances the liberal bias of the editorial page.

I still miss Calvin & Hobbes.

My personal favorite goes something like this:

Calvin: "Some people are pragmatists, looking for the best possible solution to a problem by balancing the interests of every side. Some people stand on principle, holding fast to their beliefs and refusing to compromise. And some people just act on any whim that enters their heads."

Hobbes: (sarcastic) "I wonder which one you are?"

Calvin: "I pragmatically turn my whims into principles!"

Gee! Given the choice between controlling the news columns and the comics, which one do you think the Liberals would choose?

Oh, never mind - they already made that choice, didn't they!
