DECKARD DIDN'T KNOW HE WAS A ROBOT EITHER:

No Filibuster, No Re-Election for Blue State Senators (Rob Kall, 1/30/06, Op Ed News)

I'll keep this short and bitter. Every god damned blue state senator who failed to sign on to the Alito filibuster MUST be fought in the primaries and replaced. The Democratic party has failed the rank and file members.

It is time to take back the Democratic party from the right wing, loser hacks who have been fumblingly, failingly controlling it and the candidates put forward. I can't believe how many people tell me that they believe the DLC and right wing democrats are really Republican operators. [...]

If a stab-us-in-the-back senator in a blue state failed to suppor the filibuster we MUST find strong, tough candidates to run against and BEAT them. We must raise money for candidates, even if they are not running in our states.

We, the Progressives and liberals must define the issues. We must tell our elected officials what to do. This was the last straw. We need to draw up a list of these traitors to democracy and take them out of the political arena. I bet they'll end up on some corporation's payroll.

We're not big on reading blogs, especially Leftie blogs, but tonight it really is worthwhile. These folks are so reality-challenged they apparently believed their faxes and e-mails would get Democrats to filibuster Judge Alito. Memeorandum is useful.

Well, I know who I think is in the corporations' payroll

Just wait until Alito is confirmed by less than 60 votes tomorrow -- then they'll claim there were votes for the filibuster if the Dhimmis only had spines. But who do they turn to? Raving Howard has bankrupted the DNC. The Kennedy/Kerry/Boxer wing is a 20% party with no chance of winning national elections.

It's always a hoot watching Uncle Ted play Mr. Creosote. Typecasting at its finest.

"The Democratic party has failed the rank and file members." Stunning.......

I love that last bit. It's undemocratic for a majority in the Senate to be allowed to vote on a nominee supported by a majority of Americans nominated by a President who won a majority of both the popular and electoral votes.

And of course these EVIL democracts will end up in the arms of EVIL corporations, none of which have ever done anything good, ever. EVER!

As I pointed out earlier today, the left is utterly insane & politically blind--and they're the hardcore base of the Democrats! Wow.

At this point what's the over/under for how many states McCain wins in '08? 45? 49?

I will gladly contribute a few dollars to the effort to purge the Democrat party of rational politicians.

jd:

Note, 29% = 58% = "the MAJORITY"... So I guess they're okay with that. Amazing.

What would be fun is seeing the e-mails being sent to the offices of the Senate Democratic leaders who did vote for the fillibuster, demanding that they have their spineless cohorts drawn and quartered. The responses to those from the senators would be even more fun to see (and publish).

What we are seeing now is known in military parlance as "red-on-red fratricide." (Psychology has other, more colorful terms for it.) Standard US military doctrine directs that when a friendly unit observes a red-on-red fratricide in progress, it should take the following steps:

1. Withdraw friendly units from any positions under enemy fire, to the extent practical.

2. Establish a secure perimiter from which the enemy activity can be kept under observation.

3. Issue popcorn to all personnel.

That would be really, really funny.

My dad tells me In the Drink Teddy really bust a gasket today.

Meanwhile, here's a story to warm Republican hearts. Short summary: Filibuster goes down in flames, 75-25.

Sam Alito, you may take your seat.

Let's have a moment of empathy, understanding, and compassion for the deflated and demoralized demobats; they are, afterall, our fellow Americans... ...okay, that's enough.
