TWO PARTIES IS PLENTY:

Cameron urges Lib Dems to defect (BBC, 12/16/05)

Tory leader David Cameron is to make an appeal to Liberal Democrat MPs and councillors to defect to his party.

In a speech on Friday he will say Conservatives stand for "liberal values", including a commitment to green policies and localism.

Mr Cameron will call for "a modern, progressive, liberal, mainstream opposition to Labour".

Two ideologically identical parties is ok, so long as they hate each other.

You need confrontation in politics to get anything done and to make sure they're all accountable.

As American politics demonstrates, the less they differ the more they hate each other.

I rather figured all the Blairites would become Tories and the Lib Dems fold into Labour, but what do I know..
