THE GOP CAN'T EVEN GET A RACE WAR RIGHT:

Assumptions about Katrina victims may be incorrect, data reveal (JOHN SIMERMAN, DWIGHT OTT AND TED MELLNIK, 12/29/05, Knight Ridder Newspapers)

Four months after Hurricane Katrina, analyses of data suggest that some widely reported assumptions about the storm's victims were incorrect.

For example, a comparison of locations where 874 bodies were recovered with U.S. Census tract data indicates that the victims weren't disproportionately poor. Another database, compiled by Knight Ridder of 486 Katrina victims from Orleans and St. Bernard parishes, suggests they also weren't disproportionately African-American.

Seventy years of plotting to regain power in Washington and trillions of dollars spent to create global warming and Republicans can't even make sure that hurricanes drown only black people?

That comes from being the Stupid Party.

Really I have to come to the Party's defense. It's all about location, location, location. Look on the bright, they were able take out older medicare patients, to sort of clear the hospitals out. Secondly, look to the absolute numbers. More Blacks died than whites, just that it wasn't "disportionately" black. In other words, too many Blacks jumped in their cars and high-tailed it out of town before the storm hit. So I'll reluctantly grant that while it wasn't a perfect operation, it was good enough for government work.

No, but they can use their wealth to send in private contractors to save only the rich and their property, which nowadays, isn't usually black people.

Grog;

That's what non-Republicans would do if they were smart, as various communities in Lousianna are finding out. Those that depended on the government are having a slow and expensive recovery, those that hired private contractors are getting faster and better results. Odd, then, that your plan for "helping" the poor is to give them more of a clearly inferior service.
