"Although we don't accept this claim..."
Suddenly, the usual apologetics won't work. No one can say Iran's president was really complaining about Israel or Zionism, rather than Jews. No one can say he was talking about the west's colonial crimes.

The Nazis remain too good a hobgoblin for the presentable left to tar the right with to give it up by supporting a man who denies the Nazis crimes. But if only Ahmadinejad will shut up about this for a couple of months and stick to attacking just the U.S. and Israel in present-day terms, his recent statments can be flushed down the memory hole by no later than the middle of next year.
