Afghan MPs hold landmark session (BBC, 12/19/05)
Afghanistan's first parliament for more than 30 years has held its inaugural session in the capital, Kabul.

President Hamid Karzai told 351 MPs the session was a "step toward democracy" and a display of national unity.

Once again, the brutal Afghan winter took a wrong turn at Albuquerque and wound up in New England.

I gave the link to The Weather Channel and told them to look it up themselves. It was in the 50s there and colder in Chicago.
