CHOOSING SIDES:
Democrats plan to filibuster Patriot Act (Charles Hurt and Jerry Seper, December 15, 2005, THE WASHINGTON TIMES)
Senate Democrats say they will filibuster the extension of the USA Patriot Act, which passed the House yesterday on a bipartisan vote, despite some concerns that provisions of the bill trample civil liberties by giving law enforcement too much power.
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, said he will not demand that his entire caucus support a filibuster but said that he certainly would.

The dumbest part of the whole Democratic playbook is that it relies completely on the benificence of our enemies. Are they that blind?
With several Democratic votes in favor (Nelson, Lieberman, Landrieu, probably Hillary, probably Bill Nelson, Conrad, perhaps Cantwell, perhaps Byrd), are the Dems going to trust that Larry Craig or Sununu will vote against cloture? That's not a good move, either.

When Iran's nukes go missing, North Korea gets the hint and there is a regime change in Syria.
Added attractions, the traitors at the CIA are named.
The icing on the cake: The Barrett Report is released and the Clinton years are revealed in all their glory.
