QUIETLY HIRED/LOUDLY FIRED:
HILL CAMP'S 9/11 FLAP (IAN BISHOP, October 3, 2005, NY Post)
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has quietly hired an unconventional corporate teen-marketing guru who believes the supernatural can be used to pitch products to young people — and who dissed 9/11 victims in shocking comments. [...][Consultant Gia Medeiros] told a forum in Boulder, Colo., where she lives now, that "all of those people who died that day, those folks who we've heard toasted as angels and heroes and martyrs, well, they weren't all good people. I used to live in New York. I know it."
"We are workaholics, alcoholics, materialists, kings and queens of the caustic rant. There is an art to our complaining," she griped in remarks posted for years on a self-empowerment Web site.
"One friend of a friend had a husband who died. When I asked about their relationship, my friend said, 'Terrible. He worked too much, drank too much, was never home with her or the kids.' They don't say that in the obituaries," Medeiros added.
Clinton's aides said they didn't know about Medeiros' outrageous comments until informed of them by The Post.
She'll be gone by lunch. Posted by Orrin Judd at October 3, 2005 10:04 AM
Vince Foster gone? Or White House Travel office gone?

Mover Mike
If she cans her, could put a dent in Hillary's '08 wiccan turnout.
Posted by: John at October 3, 2005 3:28 PMJohn: Are you kidding? She could drive her limo over a Wiccan/gay/black parade and not lose a vote, other than the fatalities.
Posted by: PapayaSF at October 3, 2005 7:04 PMThe fatalities? HA! That has never stopped the dead from voting before in Democratic precincts!
Posted by: obc at October 3, 2005 9:26 PMI don't see any "outrageous" or "shocking" comments by Ms Medeiros in the excerpt above, just tactless truths.

I'm with Michael. Without knowing the context, it's hard to see what she's saying that is shocking. I can easily see a couple of good conservative points to be made from noting that the people in the towers were just people, like any others.
Posted by: David Cohen at October 3, 2005 10:09 PMThe supernatural viral marketing stuff, on the other hand, is just a waste of Hill's money.

Posted by: joe shropshire at October 4, 2005 12:08 AMMichael and David: tactless truths are always outrageous and shocking when spoken or endorsed by important politicians.

It's worth pointing out to liberal Democrats that at least some of those killed on 9/11 must have been Republicans -- and if we take the Democratic party's own leader seriously on this subject, they were cold-hearted bastards by definition.
