In recent years, Rock Paper Scissors has morphed from a means to settle petty disputes to a full-fledged sport with a cult following.
"What's not to love about it. Everybody understands the basics of the game and it's a great way to have some fun," said Doug Walker of the World RPS Society.
It seems the Rock Paper Scissors bug has bitten at least one group of grown men.
"The guys are already talking about getting a team together for next year's tournament," said Bergel.
"I'll be there for sure."

Posted by: Mike Earl at October 24, 2005 10:31 AMWhen I was in elementary school, a military drams series called Navy Log" ran an episode called "Rock breaks Scissors" in which the game was used as a metaphor for a tactical analysis. Straightaway, every little kid was playing rock-breaks-scissors, in and out of school, all the time, until the craze wore off, in aboot (chuckle) two weeks: grade-school--Canada, sounds aboot right.

Well, Canadians had to do something with their time when the 2004-05 NHL season was cancelled.
