British MP Galloway: Canada complicit in Iraq war (CP, 9/17/05)

Despite its refusal to fight in Iraq, Canada is complicit in the United States' war against terrorism and should withdraw from Afghanistan, an outspoken left-wing British MP said Saturday.

George Galloway was given a standing ovation before and after he spoke at the 6th annual conference of the Islamic Circle of North America and the Muslim Association of Canada. .

For people in the so-called Anti-War Left, every action short of sending troops south to occupy Point Roberts and shelling Bellingham makes Canada "complicit". (Of course, any military action larger than those would "overextend" the Canadian Army.)

Scum. Unmitigated, filthy, scum.

There are very few living people in my history that I fervently wish would just drop.....

I think I'll shut up now.

This one you can burn with our blessing, if you can prove he's a witch. Don't be afraid to get creative.

Why on Earth would a muslim society applaud opposition to the liberation of Afghanistan?

I don't see how one can criticise Galloway but not the "standing ovation" of the "Islamic Circle of North America and the Muslim Association of Canada". Galloway is a disagreeble individual, but shouldn't a person make note that there is a ready market for his endorsement of terrorism by this community.

Also I suggest the same speech and the same reaction could occur in the US.

Although my comment is 1 hour after yours, I must of had the comment section open for that length of time, because I did not see your comment.

Assuming your question is not rhetorical, they applaud it, because they hate Christians, they hate Jews, they hate modernity, they hate America and everything it stands for. They have other hates, but life is too short for me to list them all.
