WHAT THEY STAND FOR:

Boxer threatens to slow Senate activity over court pick (Bob Egelko, August 11, 2005, SF Chronicle)

Sen. Barbara Boxer said Wednesday she will vote against Supreme Court nominee John Roberts unless he supports rights she considers essential - - including abortion and privacy -- and slow Senate business to a crawl if he doesn't answer her questions.

If the GOP were trying to caricature the Democratic Party it couldn't do better than portray it as the Barbara Boxers of the nation trying to bring the government to a halt unless a member of the judiciary promises to let them keep killing babies.

Iraqis - maybe. Saudis, Yemenis, Iranians, Syrians, and the like - keep on killing them until all their numbers (in Iraq) are dead.

Few members of Congress or the military WANT to kill Iraqis.

If they'd stop trying to kill us, we'd stop killing them.
Also, we'd be out of Iraq lickety-split if the bombings stopped.

I think the point is to keep Iraqis alive. They have been the primary victims of first Saddam and his henchpeople and then of the so-called insurgents.

If you want to stop killing Iraqis, defeat the Islamofascist and Ba'athist goons that are killing them.
