IF ONLY THE CIA WERE THIS COMPETENT:
Police chief- Lockerbie evidence was faked (MARCELLO MEGA, 8/28/05, Scotland on Sunday)
A FORMER Scottish police chief has given lawyers a signed statement claiming that key evidence in the Lockerbie bombing trial was fabricated.The retired officer - of assistant chief constable rank or higher - has testified that the CIA planted the tiny fragment of circuit board crucial in convicting a Libyan for the 1989 mass murder of 270 people.

Posted by: Mikey at August 30, 2005 4:08 PMSeeing as Libya has admitted the plot, including details not previously known, this story, if true, would simply demonstrate the usefullness of law enforcement officers keeping a "throw-down" circuit board fragment in their pocket.
On the other hand, cops, along with pilots and doctors, seem to have a relatvely high propensity to believe conspiratorial nonsense.

Hey, the only fake part is the part about Cheney claiming it came from Syria. I'll tell you what is coming from Syria, though - many of those who are killing (and to a greater extent being killed by - but you don't hear or read that in the media - see below) our troops in Iraq.
