WHERE'S THE YELLOWCAKE (via Luciferous):

Analysts missed Chinese buildup (Bill Gertz, June 9, 2005, THE WASHINGTON TIMES)

A highly classified intelligence report produced for the new director of national intelligence concludes that U.S. spy agencies failed to recognize several key military developments in China in the past decade, The Washington Times has learned.

The report was created by several current and former intelligence officials and concludes that U.S. agencies missed more than a dozen Chinese military developments, according to officials familiar with the report.

The report blames excessive secrecy on China's part for the failures, but critics say intelligence specialists are to blame for playing down or dismissing evidence of growing Chinese military capabilities.

In reality the intelligence agencies likely overstate the threat by several orders of magnitude. But there's nothing wrong with manufacturing a pretext.

Nonsense, they didn't miss anything. Years ago 60 Minutes informed us of the machine tools Clinton sold to Red China that we used to build intercontinental ballistic missiles. We found out about the sale of Cray supercomputers and programs to allow the Reds to virtually test the condition of their nuclear stockpile to make sure they will work when needed. Also on the Clinton watch. We know that during those eight years they also procured the technology to produce multiple warhead missals and the targeting programs.

The Aegis battle system is a new one on me but there's no telling what else they got from their little shopping spree at Los Alamos a couple of years ago. It goes on and on compliments of traitors in our government. Oh, almost forgot...the Reds also control the Panama Canal. But whatever OJ, just move along, nothing to see here.

The "Excessive Secrecy" excuse is hilarious. No doubt the North Koreans are guilty of this novel technique. A real puzzler - I don't blame our intelligence services one bit for not seeing this one coming.

Gertz may have been suckered on this one. The 'current & former officials' who produced this may be Clintonites covering for His Fraudulency. Powerline has more.
