ZARQAWI IS THEIR SOLZHENITSYN:
Terror jail compared to 'gulag': Amnesty International called the U.S. terror prison in Cuba a modern-day 'gulag' as the ACLU revealed claims of Koran desecration in a 2002 FBI report. (CAROL ROSENBERG, 5/26/05, Miami Herald)
In its harshest rebuke in three years, Amnesty International on Wednesday condemned the Guantánamo Bay prison camp for terrorist suspects -- calling it the ``gulag of our times.''
The similarities are pretty haunting: The Bolsheviks terror regime put some 18 million of their own citizens into the Gulag because they might threaten to undermine socialist totalitarianism and America has put six hundred enemy combatants in Guantanamo who support totalitarianism and terror. "ZARQAWI IS THEIR SOLZHENITSYN"
Zarqawi will more likely be their Ernesto "Che" Guevara, because their fate will shortly be the same.
Posted by: capt mike at May 26, 2005 10:58 AMWell, it certainly takes the mask off of Amnesty International.

Posted by: Jim in Chicago at May 26, 2005 11:17 AMTake the Amnesty board and executives, drop them off at Kolyma, and leave them there. Kind of like "LOST".
What fools.

The Reds have a trophy.
The Gooners have a trophy
The Blues have a trophy.
Who's missing?
Why must you taunt Jeff?
The Red Devils will be back in 06. I predict another treble.
Right now Celtic's last minute giving away of the SPL title is hurtung me more than ManU's lack of silverware.
Yesterday on air the BBC news was asking Amnesty if their report wasn't just America-bashing. That's a pretty clear sign you've overbid a weak hand...
Posted by: Mike Earl at May 26, 2005 12:24 PMToo biased even for the BBC? That's saying something.
Posted by: Gideon at May 26, 2005 1:04 PMThe Secretary General (nice touch, this) of Amnesty International is Ms. Irene Khan. She is a tranzi and a "Muslim" (how so goes unremarked). See her bio here: http://web.amnesty.org/library/index/ENGORG100102002
