THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE PALM PILOTS?:

Senior Al Qaeda Leader's Notebook Seized: Al-Libbi's Notebook Believed to Contain Valuable Contact Information, Source Says (ABC News, May 6, 2005)

U.S. officials are working feverishly to decipher numbers and apparent codes in a notebook retrieved from suspected al Qaeda leader Abu Faraj al-Libbi, ABC News has learned. [...]

Sources said officials believe al-Libbi's seized notebook contains "hot" contact information. They said officials are hopeful the notebook contains useful information because al-Libbi was stunned when he was captured.

One senior official described al-Libbi as "shocked" and enraged.

"He thought he was invincible," the source said. "He was caught with his pants down. This was not the time and place of his choosing."

Al-Libbi was trying to destroy the notebook when he was apprehended, multiple sources said.


At last we'll find out which cave Osama died in.

Osama is at the Hotel Carlton in Cannes, Presidential Suite, courtesy of the Saudi Royal Family. If he's not there, try the Hotel des Princes in Monaco, or the Hotel Negresco in Nice.

OK, so we have the report about operatives in burqas and now we have that he was "caught with his pants down". One begins to wonder just how this capture operation was conducted.

jd: It may be that the notebook was destroyed, or indecipherable, and the story is being put out so the bad guys think they've been burned.
