THE CHURCH GETS ANOTHER ONE RIGHT:

Contraceptive may kill libido (Julie Wheldon, May 27, 2005, news.com.au)

TAKING the Pill for as little as six months could destroy a woman's sex drive for ever, say scientists.

The oral contraceptive dramatically reduces the levels of a hormone responsible for desire and simply stopping taking it fails to reverse the effect, it is feared.

A survey produced such dramatic results that lead researcher Dr Irwin Goldstein advised any woman on the Pill who has sexual problems to stop taking it and try another method of birth control.

"There is a possibility it is imprinting a woman for the rest of her life," he said.

The Pill was launched at the beginning of the swinging '60s with the promise of freeing women from the fear of unwanted pregnancy.

And instead it freed them from their humanity.

The Pill is not nearly as effective at reducing female libido as wedding cake.

An interesting btw, in Taiwan, the Pill was never accepted. The Taiwanese were and are very wary about taking unnecessary pharmaceuticals. People there don't even like taking aspirin when they have a headache. My dear wife is Taiwanese; we have been married for 11 years and the holy fire of eros burns more beautifully than ever. And cake was served at our wedding. This story explains a lot about urban American women in their mid-30's croaking to one another in the kitchen at Seattle dinner parties about "when the sex goes, that's that, honey . . ."

What a sick joke that was played on American women by idiot scientists, too smart for anyone's own good. Not only are the chickens coming home to roost, they've all got headaches!

Mr.Schwartz: Maybe its just an amazing coincidence, but the wedding also seems to effect males abilities at making foreplay ;).

On a serious note, the women's magazines and forums are all pushing the pill that takes away the menstrual cycle completely or reduces it to just a few times a year. But there is no concurrent questioning of what this will do long term. Most of the tag lines are along the line of "Do we need periods?" Pretty scary stuff when we want to take away the most basic female biological functions.
