YOU MEAN CYBERSPACE ISN'T DOMINATED BY EUROPHILES?:
The face that launched 1,000 Eurosceptic quips (Anthony Browne, 3/07/05, Times of London)
IT WAS meant to bring the European Union closer to its citizens, putting an appealing face on what often appears to be a distant bureaucracy. But the personal blog, or internet diary, of a European Commissioner has been hijacked by British eurosceptics. They are using it, instead, to attack the EU and to pour scorn on those who lead it.
Margot Wallström, the Vice- President of the European Commission, was handed the job of boosting support before the wave of referendums on the EU constitution and she started her blog on the Commission website after the new year, mixing the personal and political to emphasise the benefits of Europe.
Her efforts have been engulfed in a cyber-war, however, with British Eurosceptics leaving hundreds of messages attacking the Commission for destroying British industry and Britain’s democratic traditions.
Way to judge your audience. Posted by Orrin Judd at March 7, 2005 6:58 AM
It proves those in favour are the silent majority.
Prove it. Hold an EU-wide referendum on the EU constitution.

In many cases these blogs are not suggesting what they say at all. I think the Euros would have a tough job selling the constitution as it is because it is so micro-managed that there is not the flexibility to grow that is built into the US Constitution. I also think that several of the Euro countries are trying to hide the true nature of what the constitution actually does mean. Take a look athe the EU Referendum blog and see what the various governments are saying and what the people in Brussels are saying. Chalk and cheese - and they are pushing it with government funds.
