Actually, there are a lot of rich Labour (and Democratic, in the US) voters who would never think of sending their kids to private school, especially not a religious one, but think nothing of spending lots of money to buy homes in expensive areas with good schools. To be honest, I've never really seen much of a moral difference between the two things.

I've always found it telling that so many public school teachers and administrators in places like D.C. and Chicago make a point of sending their kids to private school. What do they know that we're not supposed to?

They know their own bottom line allows them to avoid sending their kids to the ratholes they frequently preside over.

'Twas a rhetorical question--I'm a decommissioned public school teacher, and fanatically committed to keeping my kids out of public schools.
