Bush dismisses rift on Iraq (Tom Raum, February 22, 2005, The Age)

US president George Bush has dismissed the rift with Europe over Iraq as a "passing disagreement of governments" and yesterday urged greater trans-Atlantic co-operation, including more support for the fledgling Iraqi Government.

The disagreement is minor because we can disagree without serious repercussions. We're also pretending that the disagreement is minor, because there are respectable minor reasons for disagreeing with invading Iraq. It's the crazy loony major disagreements that so many of the anti-Americans mean, though.
