AT LAST, THEY'RE LEGITIMATE!:

Carter ends silence, praises Iraqi voting (Robert Stacy McCain, 2/11/05, THE WASHINGTON TIMES)

Former President Jimmy Carter, who predicted that elections in Iraq would fail and in the past year described the Bush administration's policy there as a quagmire, this week ended 10 days of silence to declare the historic Iraqi vote "a very successful effort."

"I hope that we'll have every success in Iraq," Mr. Carter said in a CNN interview. "And that election, I think, was a surprisingly good step forward."

Of course, Mr. Peanut won't ever apologize for his glaringly negative remarks last September ("they won't be able to have the election").

Surely his unspoken thought is: "And it was surprising because I wasn't there".

Also, "I hope that Chavez fellow doesn't ruin my reputation". As if.

If anyone's reputation is hurt it is Chavez's. Just as Qaddafi was hurt more by meeting with Ward Churchill than Churchill was by meeting with Qaddafi.
