And so I have become disillusioned, at least with the Leftists I met in Iraq. So noble in their rhetoric, they looked to the stars, yet ignored what was happening around them, caring only about what was inside their minds. So glorious in their ideals, their thoughts were inflexible and their deeds unnecessary, even harmful.
This will be the epitaph of the Left.

On Diane Rehm today, she's talking to Norm Ornstein, Robin Wright, and David Ignatius and notes that they're all somber in their New Year's greetings. Ornstein, just back from Rennaisance Weekend, says how there's a widespread feeling that we have intractable problems and our institutions can't address them. Everyone solemnly agrees.
Translation: the GOP won in November...again.

.......Guerrillas have proven increasingly adept at managing the Internet as part of their propaganda campaign against the US and its ally, the government of Prime Minister Ayad Allawi posting technically proficent footage of attacks on convoys and military bases.....
Omitted of course was the media's coverage and World wide distribution which dwarfs the internet usage by the terrorists.
