Danish soldiers charged with Iraqi abuse (RTE News, 1/21/05)
It is being reported in Denmark that a Danish intelligence officer and four military policemen have been charged with abuse of Iraqi prisoners in southern Iraq.Posted by David Cohen at January 21, 2005 7:54 AMThe soldiers could face up to one year in prison if found guilty of breaking military law during interrogations last year.
Meanwhile, it has emerged that the British Army officer who gave an unlawful order to his soldiers to come down hard on Iraqis caught looting, has not been charged with any offence.
The order by Major Dan Taylor breached the Geneva Convention, and the alleged abuse which followed at an aid camp near Basra has led to three soldiers being charged.
Don't expect to see any news of this in the MSM as it would weaken the argument against Bush/Rumsfeld and the Iraq prisoner issue.

The Danish intelligence officer threatened to throw Andrew Sullivan in the cell with him.

Danes are probably sufficiently loopy to buy into that defeatist, nihilist claptrap.
