PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MEN BEHIND THE TORTILLA CURTAIN:

From The Folks Who Brought You President Kerry ... (Steve Sailer, November 10, 2004, V-Dare)

On Sunday, I showed that the widely-reported claim by the notoriously-flawed National Election Pool exit poll that George W. Bush's share of the Hispanic vote leapt from 35% in 2000 to 44% in 2004 didn't match up with the actual votes counted.

Today, I will demonstrate that NEP's Hispanic share estimate -- reached after massive data massaging to eliminate the embarrassing fact that it had originally predicted a solid Kerry victory -- is internally contradictory, causing a consistent inflation of Bush's Hispanic vote totals.

Only the devastation of getting his clocks cleaned by Michael Barone can explain why it took Mr. Sailer a week to get around to trying to minimize the new GOP base.

Sailer is getting pretty obsessive about this. If the Repubs ever pull 50-plus of the Hispanic vote, he might really blow a gasket.

Calm down, Steve. Hispanics are gradually drifting toward the Repubs, especially in red states like Texas and Florida. It's not a calamity. In fact, it's pretty much what happened with European immigrant groups.

But then the folks at VDare will have to find something else to do. BTW, America is the third country that Peter Brimelow has lived in, when is he leaving? Can New Zealand be next?
