NOT YOUR FATHER'S GOP:

Bobby Jindal elected to Congress (George Joseph, November 03, 2004, rediff)

Piyush 'Bobby' Jindal romped to victory from the 1st District of Louisiana – becoming the first Indian American to win a Congressional seat in 46 years.

The GOP needs to leverage Mr. Jindal and the President's excellent relationship with India to achieve the kind of inroads that will make Indian-Americans part of the party base.
