The past is immediately forgotten, to be recreated in whatever image makes him look good. The future is all that stuff that happens after he wakes up tommorow, and why start worrying about it now?

If so, I imagine him showing up infrequently, saying little, acknowledged by few, and consulted by no one. In other words, back to the status quo.

Fortunately for him, Teddy will not be the immortal Kennedy and will be the senior senator from MA sooner rather than latter. And he is going to need the salary and the pension.
