Well, that's a pretty chilling statement.

Republicans should do their level best to keep the nation's attention riveted on these loons. It merely reinforces the fact that the Red States voted for the adults and the sane.

By joining at the hip (rmember Moore and Carter at the convention?) and hiving off the "passion" of the nut-jobs the Dems. have assured themselves of a chronic problem. These people can't be tamed and they can't be exiled by the Dems.

David, I agree. That's dangerous. When you try to channel that, you end up riding a tiger and you never know when the beast is going to have a snack. Fortunately, the Democrats appear to be the only one's riding.

If you've been reading the increasingly Reynolds Wrap-induced thinking of MSNBC anchorman Keith Olbermann on his weblog and on his prime-time newscast, you'll probably be saying to yourself that a few days ago it didn't seem possible that anyone could make Chris Matthews seem rational (if not calm) by comparison.

The really sad thing is that instead of being an aberration, Olbermann's claims about voter fraud in Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, etc., is actually a sign of boldness on his part in saying what no doubt many other anchor folks, reporters and columnists would love to be able to say, if they didn't have the little problem of needing to maintain their own integrity by having to justify those claims (Tapper's article being an example of that). But it wouldn't surprise me if what Keith is doing is actually the way some news organizations are heading, so that even the image of impartiality is abandoned and they basically become larger circulation/viewer versions of The Nation or The Village Voice.

That will be interesting. It is not altogether impossible for network news to be abandoned entirely and people then forced to rely on cable outlets. This might not be a bad thing.

Enormous voter fraud is about to be uncovered and the Bush presidency will come crashing down!

The weirdest post-election meltdown I've come across was in the pagan community blog on LiveJournal on Election Day. (You'll have to page back a few to get to it.)

One of the posters claimed that Republican Illuminati were Making Magick to cause undecided "sensitives" to vote for Bush using some form of mind-control magick. Something about The Master Magi in their mansions in the hills "with their tinted-window limousines, doberman, and the 7-foot hairless black doorman".
