Yesterday on ABC's World News Tonight, John Kerry attempted to refute the notion that he has a thin record in the United States Senate, stating, "I've introduced many pieces of legislation that are the law of the land today…" The reality is that during his 19 years in the United States Senate, only five bills and four resolutions John Kerry has been a lead sponsor on have become laws. Well, he did burnish his anti-life credentials by getting through two population control resolutions and he, fitting, helped Flipper.
Kim Joon Yu Callahan . . . now there's a blast from the past. All kidding aside, when I googled the name, turns out the bill gave Mr. Kim a visa and permanent residence. Now there's a legislative accomplishment! And naming a federal building after a local pol? Unprecedented! Kerry was the Lyndon Johnson of the 1990's.

Not Kerry's record.
Now, if Bush and Kerry both had presidential
records then Kerry's record would be relevant.
As I've said elsewhere, given that he's going to face a GOP controlled congress, how is this guy going to get any of his multitde of plans done? And after Leahy and Daschle, why should we not expect 4 years of GOP filibusters on his judicial appointments? So he can't even rely on judges to do the dirty work for him. The perfect do-nothing Presidency, as long as we don't get nuked. (And if we managed to not get hit until 19 January 2009, of course it will still be the fault of Bushitler the Smirking Chimp.)
I personally wish most senators were this unproductive.
