KERRY VOWS TO MAKE WAZIRISTAN RESEMBLE VIETNAM:

Kerry Vows Zealous U.S. Terror Hunt, Recalls Vietnam (Patricia Wilson, Oct 23, 2004, Reuters)

Democratic presidential nominee and Vietnam War veteran John Kerry tried to burnish his national security credentials on Saturday by vowing to hunt down terrorists with the same energy he used to pursue the Viet Cong.

If the GOP had said this is where the Senator's policy on terror would lead us--chasing futilely around Western Pakistan--they'd have been accused of negative campaigning.

So we hunt them down until three Purple Hearts are awarded, and then go home?

PapayaSF,

Or four months, whatever happens first.

No, you hunt one down, come back to America, then call for an immediate and unilateral end to the war, saying "we cannot fight [terrorism] all over the world". Meet with Zawahiri in Paris, and later have a picture of the meeting hung in an al Qaeda museum.

But first, we ravage the countryside in a manner reminiscant of Genghis Khan.

And of course throw grenades in their rice piles and fire grenade launchers at the river banks.

I suppose this also means the U.S. will be conducting secret missions in Cambodia to find bin Laden if the senator is elected.

And we'll send patrol boats to spend Christmas in the watery borders between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Kerry is lying: I don't believe he would shoot a terrorist in the back.

The last time Kerry pursued the Vietcong, he followed them all the way to Paris for secret negotiations and a glass of red wine together.

The article claimed Kerry was a decorated war veteran. I didn't know that. Shouldn't that have been mentioned earlier in the campaign?

It also claimed that there are 40 million Hispanics in America, and some of them are in Colorado.

Also, apparently the president has been scaring people by talking about the war, and Kerry doesn't like it. He then went on to accuse Bush of wanting to draft all the young people and take Social Security away from the old people.

How would we ever learn what is going on in the world, if not for Reuters?
