If Kerry really, really wants to win, the last thing he should be doing is listening to the NYT.
Posted by: jim hamlen at September 19, 2004 11:49 AMI half-expected the 'Pick a Message, Any Message' title to have a sub-head: 'Don't Tell Anyone What It Is, And Just Slide It Back Into The Deck.'

Flip-flopping as a virtue instead of a vice? Panetta seems to be saying there's still time to win the election if only Kerry can find the right combination of words to fool the voters into thinking long-winded replies about vacillating beliefs is a sign of wisdom.
