WHO ELSE?:

Kuwaiti editor: Bush is 'history maker': 'Who else will come to the rescue of people suppressed by dictators?' (WorldNetDaily.com, September 2, 2004)

The editor of the Arab Times and a Kuwaiti daily wrote an article yesterday in support of President Bush, hailing him as the only leader who confronts terrorism and comes to the rescue of people under the yoke of dictatorship.

Writing in the Kuwaiti daily Al-Siyassa, Ahmad Al-Jarallah challenged critics of the president who call the war in Iraq "baseless," according to a translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI.

He concluded with, "Bush is the president of not only the United States but the whole world, for he is making history on this small planet."

Probably helps that if Mr. Kerry'd had his way in 1991 Mr. Al-Jarallah would likely be dead at Saddam's hands.

The Kuwaitis know on which side their bread is buttered. They remain a small oil-rich postage stamp of a nation, sandwiched in and among much larger nations of varying degrees of rapaciousness. Iran and Saudi Arabia certainly see it as a target, and anyone who thinks that some of the new Iraqi officialdom have given up on Saddam's dream of conquest is living in a dream world.
