A BLIND British man launched his bid yesterday to become the first non-sighted person to drive a car at more than 289.6km/h.

Steve Cunningham, 41, of Oxfordshire, will have a sighted navigator with him for the challenge around a private race track in northern France.

There are several places in the southern parts of Florida, Arizona and in the Hill Country northwest of San Antonio where I believe this already is being tried out. And quite often with the turn signal on.
