A plane bound for Washington from London was diverted to Maine on Tuesday after passenger Yusuf Islam -- formerly known as pop singer Cat Stevens -- showed up on a U.S. watch list, federal officials said.

I really like the 'Tea for the Tillerman' album.

However, I applaud his commitment to his religion, walking away from fame and fortune to please God, at least as he saw it.

It would be a much better world if everyone lived their religion with his humility.

Cat Stevens can be a Muslim if he wishes, I have no problem with that, say, like Muhammed Ali.

I have loathed and despised this creature ever since he, an ARTIST, came out forthrightly supporting the Ayatollah's death sentence against Salman Rushdie.

Pack his sorry punk-a** back where he came from, and they shoulda thrown him off the plane over the Atlantic.

(As you can see, I am not nearly as mad at him as I used to be.)

They were probably afraid he'd break out in an unwelcome chorus of the excremental "Peace Train"--now there's a form of terrorism.
