DIRECT, LIKE ED WOOD:

Only 48 Days Left for Kerry to Explain His Position on Iraq (Official Campaign Blog, 9/15/04)

Appearing on Don Imus' radio show this morning, John Kerry said that there were no circumstances under which we should have gone to war in Iraq -- but he still would have voted for the war.

IMUS: Do you think there are any circumstances we should have gone to war in Iraq, any?

KERRY: “Not under the current circumstances, no. There are none that I see. I voted based on weapons of mass destruction. The President distorted that, and I’ve said that. I mean, look, I can't be clearer. But I think it was the right vote based on what Saddam Hussein had done, and I think it was the right thing to do to hold him accountable. I've said a hundred times, there was a right way to do it and a wrong way to do it. The president chose the wrong way. Can't be more direct than that."

Imus has the definitive last word on this: "I asked him a number of questions about Iraq and I can't tell you what he said."

Imus has endorsed Mr. Kerry for President and is a big fan--imagine when a real journalist gets ahold of him at a debate?

They posted several interchanges on the "Kerry Spot" this morning. I know Kerry is floundering, and Imus has a sizeable audience, but does he really need to be appearing on a radio show where the interviewer openly mocks him?

"I mean, look, I can't be clearer."

Neither he nor his cast of thousands understand that that's PRECISELY THE %&*##$ PROBLEM?! BTW, Imus is a RINO who said after 9/11 that he'd vote for Bush because "how can you not?" A RINO in a cowboy hat is still a RINO.

The journalists are Kerry fans too. Dont count on them to make things tough for Kerry.

He's still in bad shape though.

Maybe Imus can offset Howard Stern who was a strong Bush supporter after 9-11 but now is a strong anti-Bush type due to FCC regulations.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that Imus was quoted somewhere as saying the RNC had moved him from supporting Kerry to undecided...

Kerry is now officially beyond satire. Is he auditioning for SNL or something?

one question:

'Senator Kerry, were you in Cambodia during Christmas in 1968?'
